As you know, there is outbreak of conora virus in China currently and there are also few confirmed infected cases in US already. School seriously reminds you that please do your best in your personal hygiene, maintain health level of your living environment and good daily schedule. Therefore you will keep your body in the best shape to prevent from virus infection.

Principal Message 01/17/2020

Chinese New Year (Jan 25, next Saturday) is coming soon, we will not have class on Jan 24 so your families can celebrate the New Year Eve at home. Besides SVCS board and school will give lucky “red envelop” to all teachers, students and TAs as gifts this Friday so we all can share the Chinese New Year mood together. Wish everyone a wonderful and prosperous Year of Rat !!

Principal Message 1/10/2020

After rich and joyful Christmas and New Year holidays, if your class did not complete the final exam during previous class week, then the class for this Friday will be our final week of class for the 1st semester which will also be our final exam day for the 1st semester. With the recharge from holiday break, I believe everyone of you will be in your best shape and ready to participate exam this Friday. Hope all of you get a very good score for your 1st semester grade, cheers !!

We will have the “Santa is Here” event this Friday which is one of the major event for our school before winter break. Please join us and have lots of fun together with our Santa. School and class parents will also give gifts to students and we wish all of you safe, peaceful and joyful holidays.

Congratulations to two of our  students who won the prizes from ANCCS contest of “Analects of Confucius” :

“Cady Tan” from heritage class 3-1 won the 2nd place of the “Translation and Read Aloud Contest”.

“Michelle Wu” from heritage class 6-3 won the 3rd place of the “Translation and Read Aloud Contest” and 2nd place of the “”Classic Analects of Confucius in Cartoon”

Also this past Monday SVCS board and staff members visited Lynbrook and gave Christmas gifts to Lynbrook principle, teachers, custodians and few key administrators, to thank for their long-term support of SVCS facility usage.
