If your child has syndrome of fever or continuous coughing, please have your child stay at home, rest well, and inform your teacher about your absence. Doing this will ensure your child’s speedy recovery.
By the way school suggests all class representatives prepare hand sanitizer for your class, therefore all students, teacher and TAs can clean their hands frequently during school time. If possible please also help wipe/clean class desks and chairs before class time. Parents please tell your children use arm to cover their mouth when coughing or sneezing. If they cannot do it in time and use hands to cover mouth instead, please remember to wash their hands as soon as they can.
Thank you all for the cooperation and understanding !
To all parents of Silicon Valley Chinese School big family,
As you know our school is a non-profit organization and run by parent volunteers. All of our staffs, board members and advisors contribute so much of their time and efforts year over year to run the school and we are actually into our 46th year already in this current school year. We keep recrute new parent volunteers to achieve this milestone and carry experiences.
By end of this school year there will have many parent staffs leave school because their children are graduating. We do have an urgent need of recruiting new bloods to join the team and help school operations, including groups like registration, financial, dean office, photography and IT etc. We welcome male and female parents and I believe you will find a group which you can fit in well. You will not only help your child’s school, but also extend your social network and earn all of the service points. Why not join us, right ?
Welcome visit school office anytime to talk to me or both vice principals, and we look forward to seeing you joining us soon !
Due to the cancellation of Chinese New Year event this year, our Activity group staffs will visit your class this Friday night and give “Lucky Mandarins” to you. Wish you all health in the Year of Golden Rat !
With concern about the exposure risk of Coronavius within our local area, although it has very low possibility, school and board take the precaution with high standard. Therefore we decided to cancel the 2/28 Chinese New Year event this year.
Also thank you all for your participation in the SVCS Academic Contest last Sunday. Congratulations to the students who won the top rankings, your hard work got pay-off ! Those students who won the 1st place in corresponding categories will represent our school to compete in ANCCS Academic Contest in March. Hope you all do well again !
Our annual Academic Contest will be on coming Sunday (Feb, 9th). I believe all of you SVCS students couldn’t wait anymore for this event to come and will do your best to show your talent and skills in Chinese. Please remember to check-in and attend the test on time. Like we have traditionally every year, each attending student can get a super cute souvenir as incentive !
