SVCS Halloween event updates. 10/25/2018

Halloween Event: Tour de Haunted House

Currently, there are 23 classes signed up for the Friday night(10/26) activity "Tour de Haunted House", total participating students 320+, activity group would like to provide the following final reminders to all classes teachers, class reps and parents.

$11. If your class has signed up for "Trick or treat", please prepare sufficient candies for all participating students (around 330). Please also have your class volunteers to arrive the dedicated zone at 7:30 to set up(see attached map), and please stay from 7:30 to 8:30 so students can experience more "treats".

There will be two waves for the tour, wave 1(7:40-8:00 pm) and wave 2 (8:10- 8:30 pm), please check event map to identify your wave, your class can determine to take off anytime for the tour within your wave session, activity group volunteers will be conducting traffic control around the 701 entrance area, For any question, please contact activity group:This email address is being protected from spambots. Lunar New Year Bash

The activities group will host the new year's celebration on this Friday, March 2, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Quad, and we will have to move to cafeteria if the weather doesn’t permit, please see attached schedule for event rundown. 5:00 Campus opened for event decoration。

6:40 The first session booth duty parents check in。

7:00 • Event begins。

• First session participating classes（lower grades）start booth visiting。

• First session performance begins (K-2, P-1, K-1, 1-2)。

• Second session (higher grades) classes stay in classrooms。

7:50 The second session booth duty parents check in and take over。

8:00 • First session participating classes (lower grades) move back to classrooms。

• The second session participating classes (higher grades) start booth visiting。

• The second session performance begins (4-1 & 4-2，6-1，6-3)。

9:00 Event ends。

Santa Sleigh Drive-By

This Friday, on December 15, the activities group will invite Santa Claus to visit class by class to spread holiday cheer and hand out gifts that class reps have prepared for the students. The reindeer sleigh will begin its rounds at 7:25pm, stopping at each class for about 10 minutes to give presents and photo ops. The sleigh will follow the course as outlined in the attached map, pausing at the end of class, and resuming at the start of the next class. 3/5/2017 Chinese New Year is celebrated in SVCS , including Chinese New Year performances, variety new year gifts from raffle drawing and the carnival celebrates the passing of the old year and welcomes the new-year with and exciting and hopeful attitude. The performance will be held by little hosts and 14 performances from classes celebrating Chinese New Year in Lynbrook Auditorium at 9:00 am to 12:00 pm , After performance at 12:00 pm that everyone will be gathering in school enjoy carnival and delicious food, School and Parents are sponsoring food on Samosas, Cotton Candy, Taiwanese sausage, BaoBing, Boba tea, Bah tzang, "Three sisters" food, etc. Each section of food having a symbolic significance. Everyone welcome to Chinese New Year Festival 2017!!!
