AP Class

Ever since College Board stared to offer AP Chinese course back in 2007, learning Chinese language and culture at AP level and passing the exam have gained more attention each year.   AP Chinese course requires proficiencies throughout the intermediate range as described in the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Proficiency Guidelines.

The AP class offered by the Silicon Valley Chinese School has been designed to train students’ interpersonal communication skills, their abilities to present and interpret language in spoken and written forms, and their functional familiarity with Chinese culture.

Please note, students who signed up for the AP class will need to bring a laptop computer to the class.  The computer needs to be configured to enter Chinese characters.
